Accounts Payable Specialist – Contract-to-Hire | Southfield, MI

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in Southfield, MI, to find a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This fully on-site position offers a supportive environment and the potential to convert to a permanent role in approximately three months.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Location: Southfield, MI (Fully On-Site)

  • Type: Contract-to-Hire (Conversion in ~3 months)

  • Compensation: $23–$26.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible morning start times

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests

  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors

  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain organized records and documentation

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting operations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
