LHH Recruitment is partnering with a construction company near Tempe who is in search of an AR Specialist with AIA and progress billing to join their team. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. The range of salary is between $65,000-$75,000.
The A/R Specialist will manage billing for all active projects, handling monthly progress billings, draw packages, change orders, and collections. You will be responsible for ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with contract requirements before submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process AIA progress billings on a monthly basis
- Compile and review full draw packages, ensuring all required documentation is included
- Understand project timelines and coordinate closely with Project Managers to meet billing deadlines
- Manage and process all change orders, ensuring they are signed, incorporated into draws, and billed accurately
- Ensure draw forms properly roll over each month and reconcile prior billings
- Review and track lien waivers and supporting documentation
- Handle stored materials billing when applicable
- Post payments and maintain accurate A/R records
- Lead collections efforts and communicate proactively with clients and internal teams
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable on subcontractor draw components
- Provide ad hoc accounting support and occasional AP assistance as needed
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction Accounts Receivable experience
- Strong AIA billing and progress billing experience (required)
- Deep understanding of draw processes, lien waivers, and monthly rollovers
- Experience managing multiple active projects simultaneously
- Ability to work directly with Project Managers and subcontractors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with collections and client communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HUD projects
- Experience billing stored materials
- ERP/accounting software proficiency
