HR Generalist / HR Specialist
Location: Waldwick, NJ (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Experience: 3–5 years
Salary: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience
System: iSolved (training provided)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist/Specialist who thrives in a hands-on role and can positively influence managers, employees, and the overall culture. This individual will support HR operations while also contributing fresh ideas, encouraging best practices, and helping drive meaningful cultural and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Assist with payroll processing in iSolved (training provided)
Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and inquiries
Manage onboarding, including new hire documentation, orientations, and system setup
Oversee I-9 completion and compliance
Conduct resume screening, phone screenings, and candidate coordination
Maintain and update employee files, HR systems, and documentation
Employee Relations & Culture
Partner with management to develop leadership skills and strengthen communication
Help drive and reinforce culture change initiatives
Serve as an approachable HR resource for employee questions and concerns
Collaborate with leadership to implement new HR initiatives and best practices
Process Improvement
Recommend opportunities to streamline HR processes
Bring ideas, not just execution—help evolve the HR function
Support special projects in HR, compliance, and employee programs as needed
Qualifications
3–5 years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence managers effectively
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to bring new ideas
Familiarity with HR processes including payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance
Experience with iSolved is a plus (training provided)
