Electrical Engineer
Location: Long Island, NY
Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 base, depending on experience + benefits
Overview
We’re partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization on Long Island seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and sustainment of electrical systems used in highly regulated products. This role offers meaningful technical ownership and the opportunity to grow into a senior?level engineering position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts for electromechanical products
- Support product development from concept through production, including prototyping, testing, and validation
- Work closely with manufacturing to support builds, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, ECNs, test procedures, and work instructions
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to electrical issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 2–6+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical schematics, wiring, and system?level design
- Familiarity with low?voltage and/or power distribution systems
- Comfortable supporting hands-on manufacturing and production activities
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem?solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with electromechanical systems
- Exposure to regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar)
- Experience with testing, validation, or qualification activities
- Interest in growing technical ownership and mentoring junior engineers over time
